Chap Sweat enjoys bringing buyers, sellers, lenders, and agents together to close on the sale of real estate. Chap especially appreciates guiding first-time home buyers through the sometimes daunting process of home ownership.

With a lengthy background in real estate law and title work that expands well over a decade, Chap is able to solve complicated title issues that may arise during the closing process. The son of a real estate attorney in Waycross, Georgia, Chap spent his summers as an undergraduate and law student working for his father and checking real estate titles.  As a practicing attorney, Chap briefly worked with his father in Waycross where he personally closed over 150 real estate transactions.

Chap’s legal experience spans a broad range of practice areas, having begun his career at the firm in our litigation department. A “Double Dawg,” Chap graduated magna cum laude from the University of Georgia in 2008 with a degree in political science and then graduated in the top 16% of his law school class in 2011.
